What is VNC ?
Virtual Network Computing (VNC) is a graphical desktop sharing system that uses the Remote Frame Buffer protocol (RFB) to remotely control another computer. It transmits the keyboard and mouse events from one computer to another, relaying the graphical screen updates back in the other direction, over a network.
Advantages of VNC in Raspberry Pi:
1.Control your Raspberry Pi with your PC
2.No need for any external output devices.
3.Easy for testing.
2.NMAP is required to scan the ip address of Raspberry Pi.
3.To Setup SD card visit this link.
1.Install nmap by using the following command in the terminal.
sudo apt-get install nmap
2.Connect the network cable between Raspberry Pi and your PC.

3.Select Network Connections in Linux, In the window select Wired connection and select Edit.
4.In the appearing window select “IPv4 Settings” Tab and select the method as “Shared to Other computers”.
5.Open terminal and type the command
nmap -sV 10.42.0.1-255
After finishing scanning nmap shows the ip address for the Raspberry Pi, for me the ip address is 10.42.0.41
6.To connect the raspberry pi with your linux PC using ssh protocol enter the following code in the terminal
Here pi is the username of my Raspbian Os. You should use your username of the Os you installed in Raspberry Pi
7.Now it shows the following message
“The authenticity of host ‘10.42.0.41 (10.42.0.41)’ can’t be established.
ECDSA key fingerprint is 74:9e:10:83:9d:bf:c3:80:0b:3a:21:ec:15:6d:8c:65.
Are you sure you want to continue connecting (yes/no)?”
Enter yes and enter the Raspberry Pi’s password and enter.
8.Now you are using the Raspberry Pi’s terminal.
9.Install VNC server in raspberry pi using the command in terminal
sudo apt-get install tightvncserver
12.Finally to view the raspberry pi GUI in your linux pc enter the command in the terminal
Now it asks for password, enter the raspberry pi password.
13.Now it shows Raspberry pi’s Graphical interface.
